Winter Romance

Weekly Chat

Between snuggling up to keep warm as winter storms come crashing through to hiding under a blanket with a cold while I bing read my latest obsession, Lucy Score novels while listening to one of my friends tell me all about her real-life romance novel she has going on this week has been pretty great.

Of course as always when one of my friends comes to me about a romantic interlude my brain goes right to how I really should start writing fiction for the fun of it. Here is a snippet of what I have in mind:

*** She looked up into his stormy gray eyes,  “I can’t do this yet. It’s  too soon.” She wrenches her eyes away from his. “I need time”
He caressed her cheek with his warm hand turning her golden-honey brown eyes back to him. “I’m not going anywhere.” He gently leaned in to kiss the top of her head and pull her close to him. “You have every day until forever.”
Her heart seemed to skip a beat as the weight of the moment slammed into her. Was he really willing to wait until she was ready? Or was it all a show to try and get what he wants? ***

So what do you think? Should I roll with this?

In other news this week you can find posts on two sites:

How to save money by buying in bulk – A few simple tips to save the most money and prevent yourself from overspending.

Free ways to improve your garden soil – While we freeze and wait for gardening season to come we can always take the time to find ways to help our garden thrive when the warm weather rolls around.

To be honest I am not in the mood to work today. I am still sick from whatever cold the kids were kind enough to share, its cold, and despite my best efforts to convince my husband he should call into work and snuggle up with me for the day he is off being an adult so I feel obliged to do the same. Ever feel that way?
